About Me

I am a nutrition and wellbeing practitioner with a passion to help you live well and feel your best. I know from experience that vitality and happiness are the direct result of good nutrition, physical movement, regular sleep patterns and a positive mindset.

I have struggled with my own health from an early age. At the age of 21, on a work placement during my 3rdyear at University, I have a vivid memory of how exhausted I felt. At first, I thought it was because I was a student struggling to adapt to the working day. My doctor said I was tired because I was a student, which felt stereotypical! I would often visit the toilets at work for a nap, and my periods were every six to eight weeks, to which my doctor replied “well, at least you are saving money on sanitary products”!

I finally pushed for further investigation and I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and struggled with my health for the next 15 years despite being treated for it. I felt better on levothyroxine but I still suffered from recurring colds, had heavy periods and acne in my mid-30s and overwhelming fatigue as well as having a frequent sore lower back.

I did not want to go into my 40’s feeling like I had in my 20’s and for most of my 30’s. At the age of 37 I decided to study naturopathic nutrition. As a full-time mum of two children I developed a passion for food and home cooking. I combined this with my new-found passion for optimal wellness and trained to be a nutritional therapist at the College of Naturopathic Nutrition.

I started a new career and dramatically changed my own eating and lifestyle habits. My health soared and I finally learned after 20 years what it felt like to feel great and I looked much healthier.  My friends and family started commenting which was an added boost.

I don’t want you to feel like I did in my 20’s and 30’s. I want to make sure that you are:

  1. encouraged to tell your story;

  2. listened to;

  3. given accurate information on diet, lifestyle, movement and emotional health;

  4. hopeful of feelling well again.

Through the application of my training in ME, Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia, together with my coaching skills, nutrition experience, past health issues and empathy I believe I can make a big difference to your life.
